    In front of a jam-packed TD Garden last night, the Boston Bruins convincingly won their 2010-11 NHL season-opener against the Washington Capitals, 4-1.

    • Boston registered 34 shots throughout the 60 minute contest last night — Milan Lucic, Gregory Campbell, Shawn Thornton, and Dennis Seidenberg led the way with four hits each
    • Campbell led the B’s in face-offs wins, taking 10-of-17 on the dot
    • Surprise, surprise! Chara logged a game-high 28:57 of ice time, and helped keep Alex Ovechkin off the score card once again
    • Mark Stuart’s three blocked shots topped all Bruins

    Hot-streaks:

    • Michael Ryder’s PP goal last night gives him 2-2-4 in four of the five Bruins’ games thus far
    • With an assist last night, rookie Tyler Seguin has 1-2-3 in three of his last four contests
    • With a whopping 4-3-7 totals and a goal last night, Horton now has points in all five games of the season
    • Lucic also has a point in every game thus far, notching an assist on Horton’s goal, and 3-3-6 totals thus far
    • Johnny Boychuk’s assist on Chara’s PPG last night has extended his assist/point streak to three games (0-3-3)
    • Matt Hunwick has 1-1-2 in two-straight
    • Finally, Blake Wheeler now also has assists in the last two contests
