The Bruins didn’t have enough in the tank to play comeback tonight; dropping their first meeting with the Canadiens 3-1 tonight at the TD Garden.

Tuuka Rask stopped 38-of-41 shots but remains winless in his 2010-11 campaign, now 0-4-1 on the season.

Boston allowed two third period goals, and two power play goals against. It was the first time all season that their PK allowed two goals in a game

    • Boston allowed 41 shots through to Rask tonight — their second consecutive game of 40-shots or more — blocking  just 15 shots
    • Dennis Seidenberg blocked five of those 15
    • Patrice Bergeron won 14-of-19 face-offs tonight
    • Shawn Thornton led all B’s with 4 (of 33) shots on goal, and five of the team’s 25 hits
    • Boston was outshot 41-35 on the evening

    More later….
