Despite a fifth seed in the Eastern Conference, the Bruins haven’t fared so well in the Hub thus far.

Boston dropped its third home game this season tonight with a 3-1 loss to the Montreal Canadiens at the TD Garden. Even the league’s best penalty kill (Boston) didn’t have it tonight, allowing two shorthanded goals to the league’s worst power play. It was the first time this season that the B’s have allowed more than one shorthanded goal against.
