BOSTON — The Bruins headed into the third period up 3-1 on the scoreboard over the Washington Capitals, and 19-15 in favor of shots on goal.

By the end of the 60 minute contest, Boston allowed a total of 41 shots against (26 in the final frame), while finishing with just 21 themselves (two in the third).

“We got the two points, so you know, that’s all that matters.” said Patrice Bergeron.
