After 20 minutes the Bruins and Lightning are score less. The Bruins came out flying as it looked like it took the Lightning some time to find thier legs after playing in Carolina last night. Heres a breakdown of the first 20 minutes.

The Bruins fail to score on first powerplay of the night, but had some good puck movement and created some traffic in front of Garon. Seguin once again seeing some power play minutes.

The Bruins held the Lightning shotless for the first 10:28 of the game.

The Bruins fail to score on second power play, same story as first, traffic in front of the net, solid puck movement, nothing to show for it.

Milan Lucic had a bad first period. A dumb penalty and some poor puck control may cost him his spot on the first line for the remainder of tonight’s game.

You have to like what you’ve seen from Benoit Pouliot thus far with a few big hits and a couple of scoring chances. Yes it’s just one period, but he seems motivated after being the heathly scratch Thursday night.

Dennis Seidenberg leads all skaters with 9:02 of time on ice.

The Bruins have done a great job shutting down a very dangerous Lightning power play as they have killed off all four Lightning power plays.

    Scoring Chances: Bruins-9 Lightning-3
    Shots on Goal: Bruins-15 Lightning-9
    Scoring: None
    Penalties: Bruins: Marchand-Roughing. Boychuk-Slashing. Lucic-Slashing. Lightning: Gilroy-Holding. Downie-Roughing. Connolly-Tripping.
