Bruins defensemen Adam McQuaid (head) and Steven Kampfer (MCL) returned to the ice Monday morning; participating in practice up in Wilmington. David Krejci (abdominal), meanwhile, is not taking part in practice and is listed as questionable for Tuesday’s rematch with the Carolina Hurricanes at the TD Garden.

McQuaid missed his second game of the year in Saturday’s win over the Blackhawks after leaving Wednesday’s game at Carolina — a 3-2 loss — with a head injury. The second year defenseman also missed opening night due to flu-like symptoms.

Kampfer, who sustained a sprained MCL back on Sept. 29th in the Bruins’ home preseason finale against Ottawa, skated for the first time in two weeks.

Fellow defenseman Matt Bartkowski took over as the team’s seventh defenseman and filled in for McQuaid on two occasions.

The Bruins start their four game homestand tomorrow and conclude it a week from this Thursday when they renew their rivalry with the Montreal Canadiens. The Black and Gold also welcome the Toronto Maple Leafs this Thursday and ex-Bruin Joe Thornton and the rest of the San Jose Sharks Saturday night as part of the upcoming home slate.
