After Toronto took an early 1-0, the Bruins scored three unanswered goals taking a 3-1 lead into the first intermission. The Bruins went 2-2 on the power play, yes folks you are reading this correct 2-2, 100%, any other ways to describe scoring on each other power play. David Krejci looks like he hasn’t skipped a beat as No. 46 has looked very well in his first action since a core injury sidelined him for the previous three games. Heres some key points from the first 20

The Bruins come out of the gate with some high energy, and Shawn Thornton kept it going with a spirted fight with Colton Orr.

David Steckel beats Tim Thomas glove side on a shot Thomas probably should had, giving the Leafs the 1-0 lead.

The Bruins get the first man advantage of the night after  Matt Frattin gets nailed with an interference penalty.  Nathan Horton tied things at one after putting home a loose puck after a Zdeno Chara bullet from the point. The third Bruins power play goal of the season.

An Andrew Ference broken stick in the offensive zone lead to a Maple Leafs rush that led to a trip by Beniot Pouliot, the Leafs first power play of the evening. The Bruins killed the power play off and held the Leafs shot-less with the extra attacker.

Bruins get their second power play of the game after Beniot Pouliot is taken down by Jorfey Lupel. Pouliot has drawn the two Leafs penalties and taken the only Bruins penalty. Chara made it two-for-two on the power play beating Gustavsson with a rocket just below the faceoff dot.

Zdeno Chara has already picked up his first goal and assist of the year.

The Bruins doubled the lead with just over two minutes to go after a Lucic pass trickled over to the stick of Chris Kelly who beat Gustavsson back-hand.

Andrew Ference has tied a career high with three assists and three points in a single game. No. 21 has 40 more minutes to make it a new career high.
