    Second period Quick hits:

-The Bruins opened the second period with a big penalty kill. Claude Julien’s team held off the Flames for another 1:45 keeping the score tied at 1-1. Rask was not really tested during the man advantage, but give credit to the B’s penalty killers for getting their sticks in shooting lanes and really putting the pressure on the Flames.

-Right after the home team killed the penalty, the momentum shifted right back to the B’s. Milan Lucic  scored his 14th goal of the season on a beautiful feed from Ryan Spooner to give the Black and Gold a 2-1 advantage. David Pastrnak received a secondary assist on the play giving him eight assists on the year. This is the B’s second lead of the night.

-Jiri Hudler nodded things at 2-2 at 5:34 in the second period. Rask made a kick save, but the rebound went right to the Flames’ center. It’s Hudler’s third goal in two games against the B’s this season and 21st of the season.

-Pastrnak and Spooner continue to impress. Their speed and passing has been on point tonight not to mention Spooner has a goal and two assists in his last three games while Pastrnak has a goal and three assists during that span. Not to mention their style of play has woken up Lucic yet again.

-The B’s and Flames will head into the third period tied at 2-2 with a lot on the line. Each team holds the eight seed in their respective conference so mistakes need to be at a minimal for the Black and Gold while they need to capitalize on their opportunities.
