Bad call booing Wideman

A name now synonymous in the Hub for turnover specialist and team’s scapegoat, Dennis Wideman received an unnecessary ‘welcome’ from the fans of his former city.

A city that keeps its players under a microscope – in all major sports teams – Wideman received the same boo-birds the other night in his return to the TD Garden as he did upon leaving town.

Aside from a handful of players last season – Bergeron, then 41-year-old Mark Recchi, Tuukka Rask, – you could scroll up-and-down the roster and nit-pick every player for their production – or lack thereof – in 2009-10. The overall team, in general, had a roller-coater season while searching for its identity.Some people blame the infamous ‘injuries’ for the Bruins issues last season.
