    Marco Sturm trade update

The reported trade between the Boston Bruins and the LA Kings, which would have sent Marco Sturm from The Hub to L.A., doesn’t seem to be a done deal just yet. As Rich Hammond of LAKingsInsider.com has posted, it seems as though Sturm’s physical/medical history has something to do with the halt.

“As was posted this morning, there is not a completed trade between the Kings and Boston for Marco Sturm. There have been talks, for days, but a trade has not been completed, and it’s increasingly unlikely that one will be completed. Dean Lombardi’s only comment is a general one, that there is “no trade.”

L.A. Kings’ general manager Dean Lombardi is sure to throw caution into the wind with Sturm’s knee issues. Sturm is coming back from his second ACL surgery in as many years—different legs, but the German is most likely going to have to show something in the next week or two in his recovery process for Lombardi to officially pull the trigger on this one.
