(Joe Makarski/Bruins Daily) Find out which Providence Bruins player earned the first ever Bruins Daily Bruins player of the week honors.

Although the Providence Bruins have started their season off 0-2, there have been some bright spots for the young team. The team is struggling offensively and on the power-play through the first two games (0-11).

Despite the loss one Bruins player has been rock solid, and thanks to his play, Jamie Tardif becomes the first ever Bruins Daily P-Bruins Player of the Week. Tardif has been able to find the back of the net and assist on another Baby B’s goal. Tardif has two points in two games while sporting a plus two while on the ice.

Tardif’s line has been the talk early on as his linemates Ryan Spooner and Maxime Sauve are contributing nicely as well.

Spooner has two assists through two games and Sauve has one goal and one assist through as many games, but Jamie Tardif has been off to a solid start for the Baby B’s who is tied for the team lead with seven shots on goal (Maxime Suave).

Tardif was impressive in the Baby B’s season opener scoring their first and only goal of the contest. The Baby B’s right winger had an impressive first year with the Providence Bruins tallying 15 goals and 15 assists in 57 games. Although he held a minus 3, he is looking to improve on that statistic this year.

Tardif, Spooner and Sauve look to be the men for the Baby B’s so look for them to be frequent Players of the Week for Bruins Daily, but for week one Jamie Tardif has won those honors.
