(Joe Makarski/Bruins Daily) Jamie Tardif leads the Baby B’s with 13 goals in 25 games.

The Providence Bruins were on an absolute roll, winners of five in a row until they dropped their Sunday matinee against the last place St. Johns IceCaps 4-0. The Baby B’s (14-9-0-2) sit two points behind the first place Portland Pirates.

Jamie Tardif has been in the middle of the Baby B’s success over the past two weeks. From December 8th– December 14th, Tardif has lit the lamp six times including a hat trick versus the Springfield Falcons last Friday night in a 6-3 victory.

Tardif has been a one man wrecking crew for the Baby B’s tallying 13 goals on the year and adding five assists. His plus four while on the ice is top five on the team and his point total is only behind fellow winger Chris Bourque.

Tardif is on pace to eclipse his 2011-2012 totals and has an outside chance of breaking his 54 point total in 2010-2011 for the Grand Rapids Griffins.

The right-winger has been very reliable this season playing in every game and contributing on the stat sheet almost every night. If the Baby B’s are going to make another run at some point in the season, look for Tardif to be in the middle of the fun.
