    BOSTON — The Boston Bruins took care of business tonight at the TD Garden, forcing a Game 7 in Vancouver Wednesday night by trumping the Canucks 5-1 in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

    The B’s scored the first four goals of the game in the first period — are now 11-1 this post seaosn when scoring first, have won six-straight at home, and finish this glorious post season with a 10-3  record at home this playoff season.

    • Brad Marchand became the Bruins single-season all-time leading scorer among rookies in the post season. His ninth, the Bruins first in the first period, of the post season surpasses the old record of eight, which he was tied with Mike Krushelnyski (1983) and Bobby Joyce (1988)
    • Michael Ryder had 1-1-2 tonight, which gives him 3-3-6 totals in three of his last four games. He now has nine multi-point career playoff games
    • Tim Thomas stopped 34-of-36 shots tonight, The soon-to-be Conn Smythe winner has allowed just eight goals in six games this Finals series (.961 save-percentage)
    • David Krejci had a PP goal tonight, giving him 2-4-6 in five of his last six games
    • Mark Recchi had three helpers tonight, and now has 3-3-6 totals in his last five games. This was his 32nd career multi-point post season game
    • Boston went 1-for4 on the power play tonight. After having gone 0-for-21 in Round 1 versus Montreal, the B’s are now 7-for-61 in the playoffs and 4-for-25 this series
    • The Black and Gold went 3-for-4 on the PK tonight. They are now 77-for-92 this season shorthanded, and 27-for-29 for the Finals
