Ryan Spooner looks to continue his success for the Providence Bruins tonight versus the Springfield Falcons.

The Providence Bruins will take on the Springfield Falcons tonight at 7:05 at “The Dunk” in Providence. The Baby B’s come in with a 2-2 record with the visiting Falcons sporting a 3-1 record.

The Baby B’s offensive forces of Ryan Spooner, Jordan Caron and Maxime Sauve are trying to pick up right where they left off in last weekend’s games. Spooner and Sauve have four points on the season and Jordan Caron coming off a recent hat trick has three points on the season. The Baby B’s are back to playing fundamental hockey and look to get over the .500 hump for the first time all season.

The visiting Falcons are led by left winger Jonathan Audy-Marchessault who has two goals and four assists in four games. Right winger Cam Atkinson and left winger Matt Calvert have four points respectively.

The Falcons only have seven goals against this season (13 goals for) so goals may be hard to come by tonight for the Baby B’s. Curtis McElhinney has been a stone wall for the Falcons sporting a 3-1 record with one shutout. He has saved all but seven shots thrown on him this year (has faced 117).

Michael Hutchinson started the first two games and took two losses, but back up Niklas Svedberg has turned in two great outings in a row allowing only four goals and notching two victories to get the Baby B’s back above .500.

It will be interesting to see who the Baby B’s will give the nod to tonight at The Dunk where it is “Pink in the Rink” night to benefit the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation. Puck drop is at 7:05 p.m. See you there.
