With the amount of success the Boston Bruins have had since the 2010-11 season, its no secret that they have become one of the top television draws in the National Hockey League. In 2014-15, the Black and Gold will be featured heavily again on national TV.

On Tuesday, the NHL announced the United States national television schedule for the upcoming season. Overall, the Bruins will appear 17 times on the NBC Sports Group. Twelve of their appearances will be exclusive to either NBC or NBCSN, while the five non-exclusive games will also be televised locally by NESN. Additionally, the Bruins have five “flex” games where they’ll be shown on either NBC or NBCSN.

The Bruins will kick off their nationally televised slate with an opening night matchup against the Philadelphia Flyers – as part of a doubleheader that will also feature the Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings versus the San Jose Sharks in the nightcap. They’ll also make seven appearances on NBCSN’s Wednesday Night Rivalry that includes matchups with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Detroit Red Wings, Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers, Washington Capitals and, yes, even the Minnesota Wild.

The main highlight of the B’s US National TV schedule will come on February 22 in a matchup with the Chicago Blackhawks as part of “Hockey Day in America” on NBC.
