The Boston Bruins will look to end their five game losing streak Thursday night against the Anaheim Ducks. All signs point to David Krejci returning from his partially torn MCL that kept him out for 15 games. He is penciled in to play alongside Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand. Tuukka Rask will be between the pipes for Boston. In four career games against the Ducks, Rask owns a 1-3-0 record with a 3.46 goals against average and .864  save percentage. Frederik Andersen is looking for his 32nd win of the year as he draws the start for the Ducks. He is 1-0-0 against Boston with a 2.00 goals against average and a .941 save percentage in his only start against the Black and Gold.

    First period Quick hits:

-It was a very physical opening 20 minutes between the Bruins and Ducks. There were a lot of heavy hits while tempers began to flare. Milan Lucic wanted a piece of Simon Depres after being taken to the ice while Adam McQuaid is playing with some extra fire tonight throwing shots  at anyone in his air space including Corey Perry. This is the B’s team we are accustomed to seeing and that must keep up the rest of the game.

-Boston received the game’s first two power-plays of the evening, but could not capitalize on the man advantage. This is what troubled the B’s during their five game losing streak and it remains a problem tonight in the opening 20 minutes.

-David Krejci looked like he didn’t miss a beat after not playing in a game since February 20th. Krejci was only behind Patrice Bergeron in forward ice time. Krejci played 6:07 while Bergeron led the way playing 6:15. He was moving well while leading the power-play unit yet again.

    First period stats:

-Ducks have the edge in face-offs by a 14-11 margin.

-Anaheim has three giveaways to the Bruins two.

-Ducks are outhitting the Black and Gold 14-12.
